The protection of your personal data has a high priority for the IHK-Exportakademie GmbH, Jägerstraße 30, 70174 Stuttgart. The IHK-Exportakademie GmbH is subject to the regulations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. It is important for us to inform you what personal data we process and for what purposes.

Information about our online services / personal data

The online services on this page are operated by IHK-Exportakademie GmbH. Here we inform you about the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data. Our website allows you to enter the following personal data so that you can contact us:

• data for a correct personal address, for example: salutation and title.
• personal data, for example: first and last name
• address information, for example: street, postal code, and city
• communication data, for example: telephone number, fax number or e-mail address
• additional information, for example: company
• interest in specific topics, for example: newsletter

If you are registering in the database for customs services providers, you agree that we publish your data (company name, address, offered services, phone number, fax, e-mail, URL of your homepage) on this and/or our German homepage.

If you are registering for the Matching-Tool, you agree that we will forward your data (company name, company profile, address, offered services, phone number, fax, e-mail, URL) to the respective organizer of an event to process meeting requests.

To carry out delegation trips/trade fair participations, we will likely have to forward your data to:

• if necessary, the respective Chamber of Commerce Abroad
• if necessary, domestic and foreign ministries
• if necessary, domestic and foreign cooperation partners
• if necessary, German missions abroad (embassy, consulate general)
• if necessary, private companies that are visited or with which talks are held
• if necessary, hotels or transport companies
• if necessary, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Baden-Württemberg
• if necessary, insurance companies

We process and store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the fulfilment of contractual obligations. We only process personal data if you provide us with this information of your own accord or if such data is publicly accessible. This can be, for example, data from public directories, such as exhibitor directories of trade fairs on foreign trade law or publicly accessible member directories of industrial sectors with foreign trade relevance. The personal data is mainly contact and address data, data for contract processing as well as data for the organization of the seminar stay (e.g., indication of food intolerances), which you transmit to us yourself. The indication of food intolerances is used to plan lunch options at our partner restaurants accordingly. If data storage is no longer necessary for the fulfilment of contractual obligations, the data is regularly deleted, unless deletion is not permitted due to retention periods under commercial and tax law. The retention periods specified therein do not exceed 10 years.

Your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) letter b DSGVO. The transfer of your personal data to third countries where there is no adequate level of data protection is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 letter a DSGVO.

Transfer of personal data to a third country

Regarding company travels to a third country, the transfer of your personal data to that country is planned. For the transfer of personal data to institutions and companies in third countries, there is only an adequate level of data protection if corresponding resolutions of the EU Commission exist in this regard. If this is not the case, an increased risk cannot be ruled out that you will not be able to exercise your data protection rights and, in particular, that you will not be able to defend yourself against unauthorized disclosure and processing. Furthermore, German supervisory authorities will not be able to pursue and remedy complaints within the scope of their competence.

Purpose of processing

The aforementioned personal data will be processed exclusively for the following purposes:

• Contacting our teams
• Requesting a newsletter
• Enabling our range of services and the associated necessary communication with you, such as booking an event, carrying out a trip/trade fair participation
• Registering in the export app and using the export app content/functions (e.g. creating a survey, appointment finder, etc.)
• Registration in the database for customs service providers
• Registration in the matching tool
• Processing of your inquiry

Technical data we collect

When you use our internet offer, technical data of your access will be automatically recorded and evaluated by the internet servers (web servers). The data of the IHK-Exportakademie is stored on the server of the company GBC Internet Service Center GmbH, Steingrüble 9, 72336 Balingen. However, this data cannot be assigned to a specific person; the individual user remains anonymous. As long as you do not actively enter data on our Internet pages, we only collect data that your internet browser automatically transmits to us, such as:

• Browser type/version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
• IP address of your device
• Time of the server request

We use this data exclusively to enable you to use the internet pages you have accessed, for statistical purposes and to improve our internet offering. We do not establish a personal reference with this data.

Third party services

Our website uses content, services and solutions provided by third parties. These are, for example, tools for sending newsletters, analysing user behaviour or displaying geographical maps or videos. In order for the services to be provided, it is mandatory that the IP address from your device is transmitted to the third-party provider. Wherever possible, we have chosen a low-data protection configuration. However, we have no influence on whether the IP address may be stored.

The third-party providers are listed below:
Sending e-mail newsletters, our website uses the service provider Telenorma Holding AG, An der Technologiewerkstatt 1, 72461 Albstadt, Germany, to send email newsletters. Your voluntarily provided personal data will be passed on to this service provider so that the email newsletters you requested can be sent. We use the double opt-in procedure for registration. This means that we will only send you newsletters if you confirm your registration after providing us with your email address via an email sent by us and a link contained therein. The registration and the confirmation are logged. This is to ensure that only you can register with the newsletter service as a user of the specified email address. Your confirmation must take place in a timely manner to the sending of the e-mail by us, otherwise your registration and email address will be deleted in the database of the service provider. Until you confirm, our newsletter service will not accept any further registrations under this email address. You can unsubscribe from a newsletter subscribed with us at any time. To do so, you can either send us an email or use a link at the end of the newsletter to cancel.

Display of YouTube videos

On our website, we have embedded videos from the provider YouTube (YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc. with headquarters at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). We have embedded our videos in the so-called "enhanced privacy mode" to provide you with a privacy-friendly view. When you play the videos, a connection to a YouTube server is established. This transmits to YouTube which of our websites you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of YouTube, YouTube assigns this information to your personal user account. When using the service, such as clicking on the start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account. You can prevent this attribution by logging out of your YouTube user account and other user accounts of the companies YouTube LLC and Google Inc. before using our website and deleting the corresponding cookies of the companies. Links to other websites

We have included various links to other internet presences. If you click on these links, the information already mentioned will be transmitted on to the operator of the other internet presence. This privacy policy does not regulate the collection, transfer or handling of personal data by third parties. Please check the privacy policy of the respective responsible party.

Social Media

No social media plugins are used, but so-called social bookmarks (these are integrated as a link to the corresponding services. After clicking on the embedded graphic, the user is redirected to the page of the respective provider). In addition, in the case of a forwarding of an Internet page via the "Share this content" button, there is the possibility that the corresponding Internet page becomes visible on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. and can be seen as activity in the respective profile of the user there. 

Data security

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure, which is why we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to our website via the internet. We protect our internet presence and other IT systems with appropriate technical and organizational measures against loss of availability, integrity, and confidentiality. Your personal data is transmitted encrypted in our internet presence. You can recognize the secured connection by the fact that the displayed address starts with "https://..." instead of "http://..." and a closed padlock is displayed in your browser. Revocation and information

Every data subject has the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR). If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR). If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of processing and object to processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 DSGVO) and, if applicable, a right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO). Should you make use of your above-mentioned rights, IHK-Exportakademie GmbH will check whether the legal requirements are met. You may revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time with effect for the future. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
